The Ebell is a 1927 Italian-Renaissance clubhouse in Hancock Park — a colonnaded garden courtyard, a lounge of chandeliers and murals, and one of the city's great historic ballrooms, all in original condition.

Frames from ConneryFilm weddings across Los Angeles. Close, people-first coverage — the same approach we bring to The Ebell of Los Angeles.

Few venues give a gallery this much range without a car: garden ceremony, salon cocktail hour, grand-ballroom reception. The art-deco bones flatter film especially — long dolly-style moves down the colonnade, chandelier bokeh all evening.

Common questions

When is the best light for photos at The Ebell of Los Angeles?

The garden colonnade is the ceremony and portrait heart — afternoon light is kindest. We build the timeline backwards from that window so your portraits land in the light the venue actually gives, instead of wherever they fall in the running order.

Is The Ebell of Los Angeles a difficult venue to photograph?

Historic interiors meter warm; consistent white balance discipline pays off. We light and expose for that deliberately — fast glass and careful metering — rather than flattening the room with on-camera flash.

Where do the couple's portraits happen at The Ebell of Los Angeles?

The lounge's murals and lamps make moody, editorial couple frames. We scout the exact spots beforehand, so the session takes minutes rather than an hour — you get the frames without disappearing from your own wedding.

Do you travel to Los Angeles?

Yes — Los Angeles is inside our regular coverage area and there is no separate travel charge for it. ConneryFilm has worked across Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange County and the Inland Empire for 17 years, covering ceremonies in English, Persian, Armenian and Spanish.

How do we check our date at The Ebell of Los Angeles?

Call or text (818) 749-7039, or send your date through the enquiry form. Every wedding is quoted individually — we ask about your venue timeline, which rituals you want covered and how many hours you need before quoting anything.
