Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers, from seventeen years of shooting weddings in Los Angeles.

These are the questions couples actually ask before booking. If yours isn't here, ask directly — you'll get a real answer the same day.

How much does a wedding photographer cost in Los Angeles?

It depends on hours of coverage, team size, and whether photography and cinematography are combined. Every wedding is quoted individually rather than priced off a flat rate, because a 6-hour backyard wedding and a 12-hour multicultural celebration with two ceremonies aren't the same job. Select a collection and request pricing for your date and venue.

How long does it take to get wedding photos back?

Full edited galleries typically deliver in 4 to 6 weeks, with a set of sneak-peek images in your hands within 2 to 3 days of the wedding. Wedding films take longer — usually 8 to 12 weeks for the highlight film — because color grading, sound design, and licensed music take real time to do properly.

Do I need a separate photographer and videographer, or can one studio do both?

One coordinated studio is usually the better choice. When a photographer and videographer are booked separately, they often compete for the same angles and moments all day. The Photography & Cinematography collection uses one team that has worked together before, so the photo and film shooters are choreographed instead of blocking each other.

How many hours of wedding photography coverage do I need?

Most full Los Angeles weddings — getting ready through the reception send-off — need about 10 hours. The Photography & Cinematography collection removes the time limit entirely, so coverage runs until the day is actually finished rather than cutting off on a clock.

Is a drone videographer worth it for a wedding?

For venues with real exteriors — coastline, vineyards, estates, rooftops — drone footage adds scale a ground camera can't get, and it's included where permitted across every collection. It matters less for a strictly indoor ballroom wedding.

What's the difference between a highlight film and the full wedding video?

A highlight film is a short, music-driven cut of the day's best moments. The full ceremony and speeches are recorded and delivered separately, in full, uncut. Every collection includes both — the highlight film for rewatching often, the full-length footage for when you want to hear every vow again.

What is a same-day edit wedding video?

A same-day edit is a short film cut from the day's earlier moments — getting ready, the ceremony — and played at the reception the same night, before dessert. It's an add-on available on every collection.

How far in advance should I book a wedding photographer in Los Angeles?

Popular Los Angeles dates — spring and fall weekends especially — book out 9 to 12 months ahead. If your date is sooner than that, it's still worth asking; calendars open up from cancellations and rescheduled dates.

Should I tip my wedding photographer or videographer?

Tipping isn't required or expected, but it's always welcome when a couple feels their team went above and beyond. It's entirely at your discretion — never built into a quote.

Can I add extra photographers or cinematographers to my package?

Yes. Every collection lets you add up to five additional photographers and up to five additional cinematographers — useful for large guest lists, two-ceremony weddings, or covering getting-ready in two locations at once.
